In my second video of the Rinaldi Calabria axe, I change the edge profile by filing the cheeks to a flatter shape. I use a medium coarse file, after that an axe puck, which is a double sided sharpening stone.
When the axe is finished and sharpened, although I could have spent a lot more time on it, I take it out and try it on another small tree, to compare the result from my last attempt of using it for felling and bucking lumber.
