Bank Holiday Monday 5th May 2025
The East Somerset Railway is a small heritage line deep in the Somerset countryside between Bath and Glastonbury. The 2 mile line runs between Cranmore and Mendip Vale. Visits to the signal box and engine shed are always available, along with a most excellent cafe, art exhibition, miniature railway and souvenir shop.
The railway is home to a small number of locomotives - in steam on the day of my visit was GWR Large Prairie 4110.
