After weeks of thick smog and smoky skies, Chiang Mai finally received some much-needed rain and wow, what a difference it made. The air feels fresher, the mountains are visible again, and there's a sense of relief in the city.
Burning season in Northern Thailand (typically from February to April) can be intense, as agricultural fires and forest burning lead to hazardous air quality. It's a challenging time for locals, expats, and travelers alike. That’s why today, I’m extra grateful for this rain,it’s a small but powerful reminder that even the worst seasons eventually pass.
