This is my story. It started in such a simple way — a nervous guy fumbling over his words at a coffee shop, turning bright red while my friends giggled at the awkwardness. I thought it was both cringy and strangely sweet, and when he ran off embarrassed, I couldn’t stop thinking about him. The next day, I went back, and he was there again — apologizing, ready to leave before I stopped him. That moment began something I never expected.

But what I didn’t know back then was that behind it all, there were truths being hidden. My mother knew more than she let on, yet she made excuses and covered it with pride. And because of that, everything fell apart. My family was destroyed, and the person I love most is now fighting for his life… still in a coma. I don’t know if he’ll ever wake up.
