Trams at the new La Trobe Street Tram Stops (Stage 1) - Melbourne Transport [4K]

Описание: In this video we visit the new tram stops on La Trobe Street in the Melbourne CBD. La Trobe Street was the last tram corridor in the Melbourne CBD not to have any accessible platform stops, but that has now changed with a project underway to construct six new accessible tram stops along La Trobe Street. Between the 12th & 27th July 2024 three new stops were built at Flagstaff Station, Spencer Street, and Docklands Stadium as part of stage 1 of the project. Stage 2 of the project will see the construction of three new stops at Elizabeth Street, Swanston Street, and Exhibition Street between 16th & 30th August 2024.

In the video we visit the three tram stops constructed as part of Stage 1 of the project on the first day of opening, being Flagstaff Station, Spencer Street, and Docklands Stadium. La Trobe Street is served by routes 30 & 35 City Circle, plus route 86 between Spencer Street and Harbour Esplanade in Docklands. We mostly see E Class Trams at each stop, but I also made an effort to film at least one W8 Class Tram on the City Circle.
