We’re on Wittman Field at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on Friday, July 18, 2025. EAA AirVenture 2025 does not officially start until Monday, but the airplanes are arriving in droves today, with pleasant weather. Although a crosswind is offering a few thrills once in awhile. And that occasional crackling sound you hear is the colorful streamers at the crowd line whipping in the wind.
Watch for warbirds like the P-51D that opens this footage, plus a wide array of classic and new general aviation aircraft, business planes, a Waco biplane, a Stearman, a PT-26, and finally a T-28, Corsair, and another P-51 make the scene.
