I have seen lot of people take these two verses out of context and apply them to whatever situation they are experiencing. Paul was speaking to believers, jews and gentiles, these are people who have surrendered to Christ and made Him their Lord and savior. Therefore, the promises in his teaching in chapter 8 was directed to them.
These blessings and promises were not spoken over people who did not love God. The video describes what it means to love God and to be in right standing with Him, which is not depended on your works or performance however, it is built on a loving relationship which stems from a pure heart.
Some of these include spending time in prayer, studying the word, worship and most importantly choosing to align your life with God’s purpose for you. This way you can stand before the enemy and declare your rights and authority through Christ Jesus but to do that you must be surrendered to Jesus Christ through salvation, you must believe the message of the cross.
Satan is a legalist and he’s always looking for ways to kill, steal and destroy therefor you must make sure you live a repented life and in alignment with God's purposes for your life.
