Huge shout out to Elliot (STM1_Sirens) for finding out about this Sterling and it’s annual sound off!

Over winter break, I received word that the Sterling siren in Alsip is active and tested once a year for the towns Christmas parade. Me and a few others didn’t want to pass up the chance to see this historic siren sound off, and about a half hour after we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with a growl and attack! The siren is set off by connecting two wires together, and that being said the siren itself was refurbished a few years ago. Unfortunately there are no tags on it to confirm what model it is, so for now I’m going to just say it’s a K3/K5 (although it’s a lot like a K5). Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the video!
