ASMR: wanting me back in bed

Описание: the space next to you is empty, but it's still warm, and that's what wakes you first. the absence.
the way my body should still be there, tangled with yours, but it isn’t.
you slip out of bed, wrapped in nothing but my t-shirt, padding softly through the apartment until you find me in the dark living room, curled into our chair, staring out over the city like i'm trying to lose myself in it.
i hear you before i see you, feel you before you touch me.
i did not want to wake you, i never did.
i saw you sleeping so peacefully, and no part of me wanted to pull you from that.
i just couldn't turn my mind off, could not shake the weight of everything, the pressure, the feeling that no matter what i do, it's never enough. except when i'm with you.
you just crawl into my lap, wrap yourself around me, your legs tucked up, your arms looped around my neck, your breath tickles against my skin, and immediately, the tension starts to slip away.
i exhale, my hands running over your back, grounding myself in you, realizing that i have been sitting here chasing quiet when you're the only quiet i ever need.
this is not where i should be.
i should be in bed, coiled around you, exactly where i belong, so i pull you up, hold you close, and take you back to the place i never should have left in the first place.
