Wen Wee Ma, MBBS, Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute, Cleveland, OH, comments on TB707, a novel gene therapy treatment which utilizes non-replicative herpes simplex virus to deliver genes encoding IL-2 and IL-12, delivering high levels of the cytokines locally to the tumor environment (TME) through inhalation. The method has shown promise in treating advanced solid tumors with lung predominant disease and is designed to minimize systemic cytokine release syndrome. This interview took place during the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Meeting in Chicago, IL.
