Kay Adams' Divisional Round Atta Boys: Dion Dawkins, Mike Sainristil, and George Karlaftis

And we shouldn’t be surprised he has some hands. He was playing wide receiver at Michigan before making the switch to corner. I talked to him right after the combine and he told me that former Wolverines DC and current Seahawks Head Coach Mike MacDonald was actually the one who decided to move him to defense.
So Commanders fans…you might want to send an edible arrangement over to Seattle…because I’m not sure Sainristil is making all of these big plays for you guys if Coach MacDonald didn’t see something in him. But seriously…such a cool moment for Mikey on such a huge stage…and I’m excited to see him bring it against Philly.
Next up…it’s gotta be Chiefs defensive end George Karlaftis.
He had not one, not two, but 3 sacks of CJ Stroud to help seal this game for KC…ALL OF THEM COMING IN THE 4TH QUARTER. He is the first player in NFL playoff HISTORY to do that. ATTA BOY GEORGE!! He now has 7 sacks in his 8 career playoff games…and he’s just 2 away from tying Bears Hall of Famer Richard Dent for the most playoff sacks within a player’s first 3 seasons. He does have one career sack against Josh Allen as well…if you’re curious there.
And finally…I have to give one out to the main man protecting Josh Allen…his left tackle Dion Dawkins. Dion allowed just 1 pressure in the entire game…and he helped paved the way for the Bills to rack up 147 yards – ATTA BOY!!
But I mostly want to talk about the nonsense holding penalty that was called on him. This was not a hold…and if these refs were watching Up & Adams…they’d know that this is Dion’s signature move – “The Ice Pick!” Here is the Shnowman talking me through it back in November
So Clete Blakeman…I’m talking to you. I don’t want to see any flags when Dion puts Mike Danna on the ground with the Ice Pick on Sunday. It’s legal…it’s on the record…let the big man live!!!
