Fluid acrylics naturally separate on a new gel plate or one freshly cleaned with mineral oil/baby oil—and the results are gorgeous.

If it's the separation effect you want, it works best when the paint isn't too thick.
I used a second plate to offload excess paint (no waste with translucent bonus papers!), then pulled today’s prints with two Liquitex Basics shades of green that don't go together next to each other but create an interesting blend.
First layer needs to be totally dry before application of the pull layer.
Pull layer needs to be wet when the paper is applied. Totally dry before it's pulled.
I recently got brave and starting using a hair dryer. ONLY COOL if you decide to use one to speed things up, too. I usually use drying time for... fun... things... like laundry...
