Vinland Saga - Chill Rain [Piano]

Описание: This is my piano arrangement for the soundtrack "Chill Rain" from Vinland Saga. I feel like this is one of the more underrated pieces of the beautiful soundtrack by Yutaka Yamada. Nevertheless I wanted to cover it, since I like it and I think it blends really well into the scenes it is used in, e.g. one scene from Askeladd's past as well as the scene from the background picture (Ep8). I already talked about how the scene from Ep8 is one of my favorites from the whole series in my video covering "Father and Son", so I don't want to spam my description with a wall of text again ^^;;

The piece itself gave me a bit of trouble in some parts. The section from 0:39 - 0:59 was quite hard to replicate. I don't know if they recorded actual piano playing for the echoing effect or did some kind of edit in the original. If the echo-like part is played on a piano I think it's quite hard to execute for the pianist.
The other difficult section was from 2:44 - 2:57 where Yutaka Yamada uses long runs with a lot of pedal in deep registers. He does that a lot in the piano pieces from Vinland Saga. I always find it very hard to discern the exact notes as well as replicating the sound, without it sounding like a complete mess. I hope I did an okay job.

I found Chill Rain used in Ep5, Ep8, Ep17 and Ep22.

My next upload will most likely be my last Vinland Saga upload for a while (might do the ED "Torches" at some point). I now have covered what should be all of the solo-piano soundtracks in Vinland Saga except "Dagger". So my next piece will mark the end of my little Vinland Saga odyssey. I saved the best for last ;)
