In this classic Japanese creepypasta, Wink learns a valuable lesson: If you hear a voice crying softly in the forest at night, don't investigate! Here's a little spooky Halloween treat for you all, with amazing help from the scarifically talented Matt Olson.

Most stock footage and sound effects in this video obtained from http://pond5.com, including the title song, "Lost" by Cyril Baranov.
Some terms in this story:
► Mujina: This is actually a kind of badger. Some animals were thought to be able to transform themselves in order to menace people.
► O-jochû: "Honorable damsel." A polite form of address towards a young woman one does not know.
► Centuries before Slender Man, the Japanese had the "nopperabo," an apparition with a smooth featureless face that was a stock part of their pantheon of ghosts and demons.
► Soba: A preparation of buckwheat, resembling vermicelli. So this story is a creepypasta that actually has pasta in it.
► "Kore! Kore!": Something you'd say if you lived long ago in Japan and someone has just startled and annoyed you.
