Film star Sushmita Sen, who suffered a massive heart attack recently, has brought the attention back to the alarming rise in the number of women globally suffering from serious heart ailments. She also brought focus back on women’s fitness when she and her doctors indicated that it was her high fitness levels that helped her survive. Sen had a 95% blockage in her main artery, which so easily could have been fatal. Doctors believe that Sen’s example should encourage women to exercise more and lead more physically-active lifestyles.
