Описание: The desert prospectors were unique folks. They wandered around the Nevada and California desert seeking gold, treasure and riches. They often ended up in Death Valley since it was rumored to have the gold of king Midas. The history of those seeking gold during the last great American Gold Rush is the story of seeking bonanza and instant wealth. But it was more than that. It was a way of life. It was a way of exploring the land and creating a lifestyle that was closest to Native Americans for it was the Indians who knew the land, who walked the land and knew its canyons. The prospectors learned from native peoples where the gold was and how to get it. And more often than not they didn't get rich. It was promoters and businessmen who sold stock and manipulated investors that made the most money. But such is the American way!
