A gathering foot and how to use on an overlocker. Without the foot, you’ll only gather one layer of fabric, the foot allows you to attach the gather to something else. You might also find the gathers aren’t gathering as much.

Stitch Length 3 or 4
Tension Dials, as factory settings (Janome 3, Brother 4, Singer 3, Pfaff 3)
