CPU Shadow Geist is a hidden opponent who can be fought against when certain conditions have been met during single-player mode. This version of him is an unplayable character.

===== SHADOW GEIST'S STORY =====

He was once a normal man living under a harsh dictatorship. His wife was taken away by the government and his daughter subsequently went missing. Fueled by anger as a result, he enhanced his body with cybernetic parts and became a violent vigilante. He fights against the dictatorship of his country in order to protect the people and prevent them from suffering the same fate as his family did.

===== ABOUT SFEX2 CPU SHADOW =====

This is the CPU version of him whom you fight against if certain conditions are met in single-player mode. In the game's data, he is a completely different and separate character to the player Shadow Geist. From my experience I have noticed two differences between them, as follows:

1) The main difference is that CPU Shadow has the pre-fight intro (usually seen when you fight him) whenever he is CPU-controlled. If a human player selects CPU Shadow, you do not get the intro.

2) CPU Shadow's Air Diving Kick special move comes out faster, travels faster, and he recovers slightly faster when he lands from it.

There are possibly other differences such as his damage infliction values, but I cannot confirm this.

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION =====

---- Despite being a separate character in the game's data, he is programmed in a way where if CPU Shadow is already selected by a player, and the other player selects Player Shadow with the same button, it will register Player Shadow with an alternative colour palette. This is required because a human player can choose Player Shadow and meet CPU Shadow in the hidden fight in single-player mode.

---- As CPU Shadow Geist is always used as the hidden opponent, it means that Player Shadow never appears as a CPU opponent.

---- The only instances where a CPU-controlled Player Shadow appears is in the game's intro and in the demo fights.

===== ABOUT SFEX2 =====

The game improves on it's prequel (SFEX+) by offering much better visuals and aesthetics, as well as introducing two new gameplay features in the form of the Excel Combo and Cancel Break. The Excel Combo works similarly to SFA3's V-ISM custom combos, and is the primary new feature of the game.
