In this first episode, we sail our new catamaran 1,000 miles south from a freezing Annapolis winter to the crocodile-infested waters of Florida's Turkey Point Nuclear Reactor.
⚓️ IN THIS EPISODE:
We pick up our Lagoon catamaran in 20-degree weather and immediately face our first offshore gale off Cape Hatteras. After battling seasickness and freezing spray, we make it to West Palm Beach to turn our boat into a home. But the real adventure begins when we head toward the Florida Keys. We anchor near Pumpkin Key, right next to the Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant cooling canals. With a fishing line tangled in our prop, Ryan has to dive into the murky water—in an area known for having the highest concentration of American Crocodiles in the US!
