This video represents the culmination of a few months work, all for an attempt to rebuild an aging laptop's keyboard from scratch!
This specific model range of computer is notorious online for it's failing keyboards, so even though many of them still survive functionally their awful keyboards often leave them useless. I was inspired to try a project like this not just for the fun of problem solving and bringing it back to life, but for the allure of what it may be like to use such an old laptop today, complete with rebuilt keyboard, and other amenities like a working battery and desktop dock in the future! This is the first step in that journey...
