The concept is to connect every whole step and half step with chromaticism and begin to hear the thirds ,triads and 7th chords. After doing this exercise you can combine these chromatic phrases with arpeggios to create bebop lines over classic jazz and bebop progressions.This concept created first by the great Barry Harris and he calls it the chromatic scale. Practicing the same pattern in five positions or of the guitar or in every mode, is necesairy ascending and descending. I hope you enjoy have fun.
