Canon 5DMKII RAW Test - KomputerBay Professional 32GB 1000x CF UDMA7

Описание: Finally my KomputerBay 1000x arrived. It seemed like I was waiting forever since I decided that I needed a faster CF card for my 5DMKII. I only waited less than a week but it still seemed like forever.

Anyway I couldn't wait to get out in the garden to test it out. Unfortunately the weather was not exactly fantastic (I do live in the UK). I know that when there is some good light the images really 'pop'. Unfortunately it was pretty overcast today so I had to work with what I had; weather wise.

Anyway it was nice that I could finally record for more than just a few small (1 - 3 seconds) bursts. On the 5DMKII, with the Magic Lantern May 13th nightly build, I can get a maximum resolution of [email protected] fps. It just about records reliably at that setting.

I was hoping that the KomputerBay card would solve everything and allow me to attain 1920x1080p, but so far (also trying the other releases) I have not managed to get any higher. I still think that possible breakthroughs will enable me to do this; so I haven't given up hope yet. After all this whole RAW thing is in the early stages of development. Who knows where it will go?

The one thing I do know is that Magic Lantern and all the people involved in the development have worked hard and bought something so big to the world. This development will turn heads in the professional word and more importantly this is ground breaking for the independent film maker. This is BIG.

Thank you Magic Lantern for making this whole thing possible. It's really opened up the Canon EOS cameras to show their true inner beauty.

If anyone can help me achieve better performance and higher resolutions etc. please feel free to let me know how I might do this. I am open to suggestions (and 'constructive' criticism).
