The presidency says last week's cabinet meeting resolved to re-instate the energy war room to deal with all energy challenges in the country.
The government will also ensure that Eskom produces enough electricity to meet the country's needs, while ascertaining governance and leadership stability.
Eskom has been grappling with a range of problems including severe financial strain exacerbated by its huge debt, inadequate maintenance programme, poor procurement practices and leadership instabilities.
Brian Molefe, former Eskom CEO who's been fingered in some of the allegations, he joins us to share his perspective as we look back at what went wrong
