Most of the children & adults affected with cerebral palsy can have a good quality of life and even they can be made ambulatory with the right combination of treatment modalities but it requires great effort from the team of specialists, therapists along with support from the whole family.
Ms. Anshika came to Allahabad, India in March 2013 with severe disability (GMFCS-5) with great hope but it was very difficult to give any assurance to her parents because she doesn't have standing or walking capability. She has undergone marathon surgery on both lower limbs & Rt upper limb for 6 hours followed by vigorous therapy at Allahabad for 1 year then she by her parents at home town.
Finally, she has excellent improvement and now she can walk around for long distances with a walker and FRO. Now she can manage all the activities of daily life. Her confidence has improved many folds.
