The Court of Appeal has confirmed the election of NRM's Vincent Woboya as the validly elected MP for Budadiri East Constituency in Sironko District.
Woboya had appealed against an earlier decision of Justice Bashaija of High court-Mbale who had nullified his victory on grounds that he did not resign from the Office of the Prime Minister before nomination.
In a unanimous ruling, three Justices- Deputy Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo, Steven Kavuma and Geoffrey Kiryabwire said that the trial Judge Andrew Bashaija had failed to evaluate the evidence on record and reached a wrong conclusion
