No Apologies is a personal song about how the vocalist of our band (Sabir) grew up as an outsider, about how he was bullied at school 'cause of his nationality, condemned because of his name and constantly made to feel like an outsider.
The Russian parts are specially chosen here because our main vocalist is from Russia. He is originally from Dagestan, but he lived in Moscow and was constantly confronted with this. These are the real words he heard back then, including “чужой среди своих” ("a stranger among your own") and “ты просто лентяй,” (you're just a lazy) which were told to him at home, no matter what I did.
But he wasn't listening. He kept walking. And here he is, singing for you. The song is dedicated to all the kids who are also bullied at school as a support. Believe in yourself!
