La Palma is an artisan town with a fascinating story. It all started with Salvadoran artist Fernando Llort, who brought his passion and vision here. He taught the community how to transform their art into a way of life, empowering them to build businesses and elevate their craft. His legacy lives on in the colorful murals and artwork you’ll find all over town—it's like walking through a living canvas!

But here’s the cool part: we didn’t just learn about Fernando Llort the usual way, by visiting a museum and admiring the art. We had the incredible opportunity to meet some of his students and even create art alongside them! Experiencing his style firsthand gave us a deeper connection to Salvadoran culture, and it was absolutely inspiring.
