Lao President Says Laos China Friendship would be more Fruitful

Описание: The flower of the Laos-China friendship will be blooming with greater brilliance and fragrance, said Laos President Wednesday during an interview with CCTV on his three-day state visit to China.

Bounnhang Vorachit told CCTV that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and it is the first time for him to pay an official friendship visit to China in the capacity as secretary-general of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and Lao president.

He said that he is very happy to pay an official friendship visit to China and that the two countries are linked by rivers and mountains and the traditional friendship between the people of the two countries is long standing and well-established and the relationship between the two countries has been deepening over the past 55 years.

Laos is willing to maintain high-level exchanges of visits, expand economic, trade and cultural cooperation and strengthen coordination on international and regional affairs in the spirit of being good partners and friends, Presdient Bounnhang Vorachit said.

He said that China and Laos, both socialist countries under the leadership of Communist Party, especially since 2009 when the two countries established full strategic partnership relations, have constantly enhanced their mutual trust politically and the exchanges have been frequent between the high levels of the two parties, government departments and people's organizations. The constantly deepening relationship has brought about solid benefits to the people of the two countries.

He said that China, under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, has achieved rapid economic and social development and the Chinese people 's living standard has improved steadily. It has completed the building of a staunch and prosperous socialist state, with its international and regional influence rising steadily.

He expressed the belief that the concerted efforts by the two parties, two countries and two people are sure to make the flower of Laos-China friendship bloom with greater brilliance and fragrance.

China inaugurated its Chinese Culture Center in Lao capital Vientiane on November 3, 2014, in order to provide a platform and a window for the people of Laos to experience the Chinese culture.
