Former Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa was on Monday granted a cash bail of 1 million shilings with an alternative surety of a three million shilling bond.
This is after Echesa alongside three others Clifford Okoth, Daniel Otieno and Kennedy Oyoo denied fraud related charges in a fake military tender scam.
The case will now be heard on the third of March and as K24's Apollo Kamau reports, Echesa is still behind bars tonight and expected to be freed tomorrow upon raising bail.
