After returning from the empty police car with nothing but some old documents and one of their more useless pieces of evidence--the black journal--the team knows they need to get back on track quickly, lest they get another visit from the Double X Phantom. While they go over everything they've come across, it looks at though they may have cracked the case and solved for a potential way to find the Spire. However, just as they feel as though they've come out on top, something is eager to reach out from the shadows and drag them back down with a bombshell they didn't see coming..

The team takes a look at the black journal and sees if there's anything new inside. And there is, in fact, something important inside...
04:09 - "Deb's files..."
After looking at John Doe's last email again, they try and figure out what it could mean, especially pertaining to the remark about Deb's file.
05:53 - The Server?
Subject 4 seems to have made a huge discovery: that little device in the safe in the vent most likely should be paired with a hard drive. And so they go to check the server...
08:51 - A Perfect Fit
When looking over the hard drive, they realize it's exactly what they've been looking for.
09:45 - "Go get that, Woods..."
Matthias sends Woods to go and grab the device from the vault.
10:55 - "Bailey, go check on him..."
Once Woods fails to return, Matthias has Bailey go and check on Woods in Blue Base. But something doesn't feel right...
11:41 - "Let's go over there..."
Both Matthias and Samantha head over to Blue Base, unable to shake the feeling that something is wrong.

The big reveal is finally here: Nelson Syphus has been mind controlling Matthias this entire time.

Nelson destroys the RSD, the only way for the team to follow him and b27 to the Spire.

He takes over the Discord to try and force Subject 4 into figuring out the initiation code of the Spire.
