Welcome to Samson Eventing — I’m Heidi, a 20-year-old event rider running my own professional yard in Derbyshire. I compete up to 3*, produce young horses, and run a small but busy yard where every horse is managed like a competition horse, whether they’re here for schooling, sales, or long-term livery.
This vlog is a day-in-the-life on the yard: the morning routine, the horses I’m riding at the moment, the behind-the-scenes jobs, and a bit of the reality of managing horses through winter. It’s not glamorous, but it’s honest — and it’s exactly what life looks like when you’re building an eventing career from the ground up.
