Alex Symon contests for the Lord of Lydden Title in October 2019. A title he had won once before in 2002. This year he was riding a Suzuki RG500 prepared by MCW Bolney and adorning the iconic Barry Sheene livery. Alex achieved a 13th place with a fastest lap speed of 43.143. When compared to the winning bike, a 2019 BSB Suzuki GSX-R 1000 ridden by Tom Ward which achieved a fastest lap of 40.994, Alex's times are pretty impressive for a 34 year old road bike! The RG500 drew many visitors to the paddock including 8 times world champion Phil Read who kindly signed the seat unit for us. The bike still has more to give and we shall be working on it during the winter to see exactly how much more there is!
