Описание: In this video, I’ve captured close-up footage of the horses eating their hay and grain. The steady crunching and chewing sounds make for a soothing ASMR experience, one that’s oddly relaxing. It might not sound like the kind of thing that would be calming, but the natural rhythms and gentle farm sounds can surprisingly help you unwind, focus, or even drift off to sleep.

Fun fact: Unlike us, horses don’t rely on gravity to get food down. They use peristalsis, which is a series of muscular contractions in the esophagus that actively push the food up or down toward the stomach, regardless of head position.

So even if their head is low to the ground, their muscles are still in charge of moving that mouthful of hay or grass up the long esophagus, into the stomach that’s tucked up behind the ribcage.
