Deer Kill Hazel Coppice - The Real Story 2022 to 2024

Описание: Deer can badly damage or kill re-growing coppice and badly effect ground flora. Dead hedges really work to stop deer damage when derelict coppice is being restored. An effective dead hedge takes time and effort to build but there are ways to reduce that time and effort and there are advantages: They cost much less than a deer fence; they will last the 2-3 growing seasons needed for the regrowth to get above browse height; they need no maintenance and they have rotted down by the time the coppice is re-cut. We look at dead hedges working in the context of minimum cant-size derelict coppice cut for personal use firewood, being restored to a 7 year rotation and for nature conservation. Lo-fi, no-script real-world stuff with no talking heads or music.
