This exercise helps teach your knees how to do their job again so you can build strength with less pain.
In this video, you will learn how to:
Set up the safety bar heel-elevated quad squat
Use a slant board or weight plate to let your knees travel forward
Brace your core and use the handles properly
Regress with partial range or bodyweight
Progress with pauses at different depths to rebuild knee strength
You will also see the most common mistakes that load your hips and back instead of your quads and how to fix them.
Use this as your main quad exercise for the next few weeks to rebuild confidence and control.
