Make a pencil hang in the air and rotate too. Take a rubber slipper and make three cuts as shown. Place an ice-cream stick in one cut and push-fit two ring magnets in a sharpened pencil with wrapped paper. Now fit magnets in the rubber. The front pencil magnet must attract the associated rubber magnets. The rear pencil magnet must repel the two rear rubber magnets. Now align and adjust the magnets. The first magnets attract the pencil magnet. The rear magnets repel the pencil magnet. Place the pencil and try to suspend it. For this, you may have to shift the pencil magnets a little. Twirl the levitating pencil and it will keep turning for a long time. Next, stick a taper paper strip on the pencil. Stick this spiral to the pencil. This amplifies the 'spin' of the pencil. This fantastic pencil spins, levitates and writes.
