NEW Lighting Fixture - Artika Europa 21 inch LED flush mount fixture

Before, my lighting in the kitchen was drab & unsatisfying. I had old fixtures that really made the place look and feel outdated. I wanted to get new fixtures to bring the space into the 21st century. So, I chose these light fixtures from Home Depot. They're the Artika Europa 21-inch Integrated LED Flush Mount light fixture. They have adjustable white balance colour temperature control, dimmable light, and can be remote controlled.

The 21 inch size + diffusion creates a nice soft light, that's somewhat akin to a skylight. Larger light source = softer light.

This is the first time I've ever replaced a light fixture myself. It's fairly easy, but you must make sure you turn off the breaker! Safety first. If you don't know how to turn off the circuit you're planning on working on, call someone with experience!

There's only 3 wires:
ground links to the junction box, held in by a screw/bolt
black (live) links to the black wire in the junction box - held in with a wire nut
white (neutral) links to the white or brown wire in the junction box - held in with a wire nut

No soldering required - there are wire nuts that come with the fixture.

UPDATE:
Unfortunately this light fixture failed just under the 1 year mark and Artika warranty just left me on read when I tried to submit a warranty claim. So that's 2 faulty units! Considering Artika's poor customer service, I don't recommend purchasing Artika lights. They advertised that this thing should last 35 years, but it didn't even make it 365 days without failing.

I ended up re-purchasing the same light fixture from home depot, and returning the old one. So I am still using these lights, and they are working fine for me now. However Artika support really dropped the ball on offering any real support, so if you have any problems with your fixtures, reach out to your retailer, not Artika support.
