On ground level, which is the underpass below the platforms of Düsseldorf Central station, these elevators are hidden in some corners. At their lower level, however, they are in the middle of the subway platforms. The cab shape - being almost octagonal - is quite unusual. At the time of filming, the other elevator was already modernized, and also this elevator no longer exists in the form shown here. However, after the modernization, both elevators will still be hydraulic and retain the unusual cab shape (link coming soon).
