Matest Gyratory compactor has been developed for the Superpave asphalt mixture design, to avoid premature deterioration of asphalt pavements.
The machine is used to simulate the real compaction conditions under actual road paving operations, to determine the density and compatibility of hot-mix asphalt, and to prepare cylindrical specimens for Marshall and AMPT tests.
