My first Roosterfish of the season came on June 1, 2025 on a blustery and heavy swell kind of day! My friend Mark Knott and I were out scouting for some action when we came across this really nice one! Fish was close to 40 pounds and was able to get a healthy and clean release. Stoked! Caught him using my 12 foot Jansen Cabo Surf Rod, Daiwa BG MQ 8000, only 30 pound braid, 40 pound fluro leader, and the Jansen Cabo Killer 3 oz. Red/White
