Security Concerns Rise: Imran Khan’s Jail Transfer? | Crackdown on PTI | Straight Talk With Ayesha Bakhsh

Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Affairs, stated that the government has closed all avenues of dialogue with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan. Authorities are now “seriously considering” transferring him from Adiala Jail.

Speaking at a news conference in Islamabad, Wali Khan accused PTI of pursuing a strategy to destabilise the country, claiming the party hides behind protests to fuel unrest. He drew a clear distinction between “love for Pakistan” and “love for Imran”, criticising PTI for targeting state institutions and undermining the army, which he said had elevated Pakistan’s global standing.

He further accused PTI of exploiting religion for political gains, alleging the party’s actions resemble those of the TTP due to repeated attacks on the army and judiciary. Wali Khan questioned PTI’s governance record in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, noting that in 13 years, the party had failed to establish a single major hospital or university.

Highlighting PTI’s declining influence, he claimed even party leaders avoided endorsing Imran Khan’s recent tweets and noted the low turnout at the Peshawar rally. Responding to questions about governor’s rule, he said democratic forces did not support such measures, emphasizing that the government could have acted after the November 26 incident if it had wanted to.
