This is Behind the scenes footage of the making and design of the Batman Arkham game series and the fighting style of batman. Marcus Shakesheff had the pleasure to actually be the Batman for the Batman Arkham game series, BATMAN Arkham asylum, Batman Arkham Knight, Batman Arkham City, Batman Arkham Origins. in 2007 Marcus Shakesheff spent a week in the Rocksteady studio while they recorded every possible moment Marcus could do for the character of batman. They motion captured everything from walking to kicking, punching and even summersaults.

for the other characters they had multiple people come in do the motion capture for them. David Newton played all the goons that batman fights.

There have been many debates from YouTubers and stunt experts of what the batman Arkham fighting style is. But I can tell you 100% what it is right now as Marcus Shakesheff Created.

Marcus Shakesheff is a professional JISC Registered Equity Stunt Coordinator, Fight Coordinator, Stunt Performer and Equity Spotlight Actor.

Working on some of the biggest budget productions in movie history, Marcus Shakesheff has played the ‘Hashisheen’ in “Sherlock Holmes - Game of Shadows” for Guy Richie and stunt doubled for “Martin Freeman” for “Sherlock”, “Christoph Waltz” for “The legend of Tarzan”, “Kiefer Sutherland” for “24 Live another day” and “Kit Harrington” for “Game of Thrones”.

In 2018 Marcus won the ‘Taurus World Stunt Award’ for best ‘Stunt Coordinator’ for his work on “Wonder Woman”. Marcus was also nominated in ‘Best Fight’ category as fight coordinator on “American Assassin” alongside “Wonder Woman”.

Marcus has worked alongside some of the world’s most talented and successful Directors, 2nd Unit Directors and Stunt Coordinators and has had the opportunity to learn and gain a wealth of knowledge and experience from some of the very best in the film and TV industry.

Marcus is an ex-semi-professional fighter, competing in full contact Bare Knuckle Karate, Thai boxing and also competing as an ex-amateur boxer as well as competing in MMA for a short period of time. Marcus has won multiple regional and national titles, winning the Welsh, English and European open full contact competitions. Marcus is also trained in Martial arts tricking, wushu, taekwondo, Wing Chun, Catch wrestling, Judo, boxing, mma, bjj.

Marcus started his career as an actor playing small parts to lead roles in various productions. Marcus established him self in acting roles that were action based so Marcus then made the transition to stunt work as well after landing the role as “Batman” in the highly successful game series “Batman Arkham Asylum”.
