West Asia conflict in dangerous escalation trap, says Georgetown professor Mehran Kamrava

In an interview with PTI Videos, Kamrava said the situation could intensify further as Iran appears prepared for a prolonged conflict, which may strain US and Israeli resolve over time. He also cautioned that any disruption in the Strait of Hormuz could severely impact global energy supplies.

Highlighting the urgency for diplomatic intervention, Kamrava said countries like India, Turkey, and Japan need to step up efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent a wider regional crisis.
