DX is was of the WWF / WWE's most popular and groundbreaking factions. Original members Shawn Michaels and Triple H began the group back in 1997 alongside Rick Rude and Chyna, and over the years, the group would evolve to include the likes of X-Pac and The New Age Outlaws. In 2006, after a long break, D-Generation X reformed briefly when originators Shawn Michaels and Triple H reformed to take on Vince McMahon, but Triple H suffered an injurt that led to the premature end to the group.

In 2009, DX made yet another return. This time, HBK and The Game went after The Legacy, a group led by Randy Orton. DX vs Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes took place over 3 separate pay per views, finishing off inside the Hell in a Cell. From here, DX would go after the WWE tag team titles just before HBK had his retirement match against The Undertaker.

DX returned once again at Crown Jewel in 2018, a match that many would prefer to forget about. After DX took on the Brothers of Destruction at the show, D-Generation X entered the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019.
