Guest Artist: Alex Keiser
Alex Keiser is a trumpet performer and teacher based in New York City with over a decade of experience. His passion for music began in middle school, leading him to win the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras’ concerto competition at 18, debuting as a soloist with the Arutunian Trumpet Concerto. Since then, he has performed with ensembles across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
As a freelance musician, Alex appears throughout the Northeast in orchestras, chamber ensembles, churches, and synagogues.
Performances range from opera and off-Broadway productions to performances as a solo cornettist with the Imperial Brass Band in New Jersey.
Alex earned his B.M. in Trumpet Performance from the Jacobs School of Music, studying under Kevin Cobb, Jason Bergman, and Kris Kwapis. Soon after, he received a Master’s from the Manhattan School of Music with Billy Hunter. He also specializes in baroque trumpet and continues to explore historical performance.
A dedicated educator, Alex has taught for over six years and now leads a thriving teaching studio throughout New York City, inspiring musicians of all levels.
