Having a water test kit for fresh water is essential when you have an axolotl, especially during your cycling and to check your parameters from time to time.
Plus you can pretend to be a mad scientist haha.
I'm a compulsive tester, even if our tank has been established for nearly 3 years.
Those test kit made by @API Fishcare are the best, I always recommend them for people getting axolotls. Don't take the stripes test as they are not accurate enough.
