Live: Breaking Active Shooter at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Michigan
A suspect breached the Temple Israel facility by driving a Pick Up Truck through the doors before engaging in gunfire by the security facility, Oakland Sheriff Mike Bouchard told reporters.
Police along with the FBI responded on March 12 to an apparent attack at a Detroit-area synagogue.
Authorities say a man armed with a rifle rammed a vehicle into Temple Israel in West Bloomfield Township, and was fatally shot by security.
There were no children or staff injured during the attack, officials said. One security guard was hospitalized after being struck by the vehicle.
