Tiki Armour (Sold post-Plantera by Witch Doctor for 1 Plat, 50 Gold)

Hercules Beetle (Sold post-Plantera by Witch Doctor for 33 Gold, 60 Silv) [used to craft Papyrus Scarab]

Pygmy Necklace (Sold at night by Witch Doctor for 20 Gold)

2x Necromantic Scroll (Dropped post-Plantera by Mourning Wood during Pumpkin Moon event) [One is used in crafting Papyrus Scarab]

Witch's Broom (Dropped by Mourning Wood during Pumpkin Moon event)

Morning Star/Kaleidoscope (Dropped by Blue, Hell, Rusty Armored Bones in Dungeon post-Plantera/Dropped by Empress of Light)

Xeno Staff (Dropped by Martian Saucer during Martian Invasion)

All Equipment should be Menacing for +4% damage per item (affects your Morning Star/Kaleidoscope).

Blood Moons (triggerable with Bloody Tear item) and Water Candles (collectable from the Dungeon) will increase the chance of a Prismatic Lacewing to spawn (killing it will summon Empress of Light). Prismatic Lacewings will despawn quickly if they enter any biome except Hallow. They spawn between 7:30PM and 12AM in-game time, so use a Bug Net (Sold by Merchant for 25 Silv) to stockpile during nights.

Summon all UFOs with the Xeno Staff, consume buff items to increase damage (or defense, if you're practising at night), free the Lacewing and kite the Empress!

There's no shame in dying, it's a difficult boss. Practise, just like with the Sans fight in Undertale, does wonders. Before adopting this strategy, I would frequently lose to the Empress with ranged weapons, swords, magic, and the like. I hope this helps you achieve your goal and get that Terraprisma!
