"Shaping Mavericks" features Bob Pearson of Arrow Surfboards, shaper to the late Mavericks legend Jay Moriarity. Tune-in to Off the Lip Radio Show to hear about shaping for the Jay, and replicating his quiver for the Chasing Mavericks movie.

In the studio will also be shaping's finest Doug Haut, of Haut Surfboards who has been shaping 'em out back/selling 'em out front since 1965. The two giants in the surfboard shaping world will come together for the first time as guests on Off The Lip Radio Show.

Doug Haut was inducted into the International Surfbuilders' Hall of Fame in 2012, and has been shaping boards for over a half century. Few outside Santa Cruz know the illustrious story of one of the best surfer-surfboard shapers to emerge from California. He could have built a career out of his surfing accomplishments: charging Sunset Beach in the 60′s, being an invitee to the prestigious Duke Kahanamoku contest, and five decades of riding Steamer Lane.

Off the Lip Radio Show features legendary surfers and skateboarders in their Santa Cruz, California studio. You can listen in on 1080AM radio in the Bay Area every Tuesday evening starting from 7PM PST.
