[1.] Defragmenting the hard drive
Steps:
i. You can directly search "Defragment and Optimize Drive" Or you can Right Click On any your pc drive "C:" open Properties - Tools - Optimize then select drive which you want to Defragment and then click Optimize .
ii. For Automate this function click on "Change Settings"
iii. Tik The "Run on a schedule(recommended)" and set The Frequency as per your choice (Weekly recommended) .
iv. Click OK (Done Here) . Windows automatically runs the Disk Defragment every week if fragmentation is found.

[2.] Scheduling Disk Cleanup to wipe temporary files.
Steps:
i. Open "Command Prompt" from the search results (WIN+R) hit enter .
ii. Type the following command: "cleanmgr.exe /sageset:1" this will open Disk cleanup settings .
iii. You can choose the items you want the utility to clean up automatically and Hit OK .
iv. Now you have to create a Scheduled Task so the Disk Cleanup utility will run automatically . For that search "task scheduler" And open it .
v. Select "Create Basic Task", and Give a name to this task, set the schedule , tik Program file and then Program/script enter "cleanmgr.exe", and then in the Add arguments field enter "/sageset:1".
vi. Then Finish , That's it .!

Note : Many of you use CCleaner, to perform similar tasks, such as blowing away temporary files, cleaning the Windows Registry, erasing browser histories, and so on. You'll still need to use the Windows Task Scheduler to automate CCleaner, however.

[3.] Scheduling Check Disk to fix drive errors
Steps :
i. For this You have to reopen it "task scheduler" .
ii. Select "Create Basic Task", and Give a name to this task, set the schedule , tik Program file and then Program/script enter " fsutil", and then in the Add arguments field enter "dirty set C:".(If your PC uses a drive letter other than C for the system or Windows drive, substitute the correct drive letter for C: in that argument.)
iii. Then Finish .

[4.] Keeping device drivers up-to-date
steps:
i.Search directly " Device Manager or you can find in Control panel -- System Security - System - Here you are find "Device Manager" (in top left corner ). Open It .
ii. There are you can see all device of your PC Click on any device and right click on their sub device
iii. And click on "Update driver Software" and select "search automatically "
iv. It will auto search driver, if is it Available it will auto download and install it , after installed just RESTART your pc.
v. Manually search drive for each device to keep drivers up-to-date.
vi. If you have Intel chip set in pc you can download "Intel Driver Update Utility" From it's official web site that is ( http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/e... ) . download and install it.
vi. Open the software and start scan if any update drive Available 'download and install after that restart the pc.
vii. That's it..!!

[5.] Automating Antivirus
-The final PC maintenance task is ,automating malware and virus scan by installing a Antivirus .
i. Download any Free OR Paid Antivirus (Paid recommended ) .
ii. Keep Updated that Antivirus and Turn on the Real time protection function .
iii. If you have Windows Machine you can use their own "Windows Defender" program To keep your PC away from Viruses or Malware's.
iv. Scan your pc and keep on updating their 'definitions'. Also you can turn on the 'Real time protection'

*Note : If your are not download any content from any Malicious web sites Or if you do not download any software from any web site other than their official web site, then only you don't need any Antivirus Software to keep device away from Viruses or Malware's
